A Shenandoah man will spend at least six months behind bars after a Schuylkiill County judge on Tuesday revoked both his probation and parole.

Jeffrey Najunas, 19, could stay behind bars until Aug. 5, 2014, under the terms of President Judge William E. Baldwin's sentence, which also imposed a 12-month term of probation following completion of his prison term.

Baldwin revoked Najunas' probation and parole after the defendant admitted violating both by failing to notify his supervising officer of his new arrest, committing another crime, failing drug tests and using drugs.

Najunas originally pleaded guilty on Feb. 20 to delivery of a controlled substance, possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia, with prosecutors withdrawing a charge of conspiracy.

At that time, Baldwin sentenced him to three to 23 months in prison and 12 months consecutive probation. Baldwin also sentenced Najunas to pay costs, $100 to the Substance Abuse Education Fund and $176 restitution to the state police crime laboratory in Bethlehem, amounts the defendant still must pay under the terms of Baldwin's Tuesday order.

Schuylkill County detectives charged Najunas with committing his crimes on May 1, 2012.
