PINE GROVE - Schuylkill County Crime Stoppers and Pine Grove police are asking for the public's help in finding those responsible for a burglary on Dec. 5 at Legion Acres.
Police said a resident in the area reported that a man came to his back door saying he was a subcontractor for a telephone company and asked to see the property lines. The resident took about five minutes showing the man the property lines and returned to find all cabinets and drawers inside the home opened and cash and jewelry missing.
Police said the man who came to the door is described as being Middle Eastern, about 5 feet 11 inches tall, 190 pounds and in his 40s.
He was wearing jeans, a jacket, driving gloves and glasses and had a large white SUV parked in the driveway with the rear hatch up, police said.
Schuylkill County Crime Stoppers will pay up to $1,000 for information leading to those responsible for these or any other unsolved crimes in Schuylkill County.
Callers are asked to refer to incident 12-15-13 when calling about the burglary and theft in Pine Grove.
