n Andreas: The Andreas Sporting Club stages smoke-free bar bingo at 7 p.m. Thursdays in the clubhouse. The public is welcome.

n Orwigsburg: The St. Paul's Lutheran Church Concert Series will feature Hill to Hill Brass at 3 p.m. Sunday at the church, 215 N. Warren St. The Lehigh Valley brass quintet has professional musicians who are all present or past members of the renowned Allentown Band, according to a press release. They will perform a wide range of music original arrangements and compositions. This concert is free and open to the public. Free-will offerings will be gratefully accepted.

n Pine Grove: The Sweet Arrow Lake County Park Conservation Association and the Schuylkill Conservation District are again cooperating to sell "quality seedlings for your property," according to a district press release. Offerings are available for small yards to large tracts. Evergreens offered include Douglas fir, concolor fir, Colorado blue spruce, Norway spruce and American arborvitae. Hardwoods offered include pin oak, sweet gum, sugar maple, American cranberry, white flowering dogwood, buttonbush and common lilac. Proceeds from the sale help to support Sweet Arrow Lake County Park. Order forms can be downloaded at www.sweetarrowlake.com. For more information, contact Patrick M. The pickup time and date is 9 a.m. to noon at Sweet Arrow Lake County Park.

n Shenandoah: In line with a borough ordinance, residents must clear their sidewalks, providing at least a 30-inch-wide path, within 24 hours of an accumulating snow or ice event. Also, residents should not throw snow onto streets, a practice that is prohibited by the ordinance. People who do not adhere to the requirements can face penalties.

n Tamaqua: The Tamaqua Chamber of Commerce breakfast is set for 8 p.m. Jan. 28 at the ABC Tamaqua High Rise, East Broad Street, sponsored by Williamson, Friedberg & Jones LLC. The cost is $5 and breakfast will be provided by M&I Deli. To make a reservation, call 570-668-1880. All are welcome.

n Tamaqua: Wednesday is the deadline to register for colored pencil drawing workshops at the Tamaqua Community Art Center, 125 Pine St. The cost is $45 for people who have or buy their own supplies and $80 for the center to provide them with supplies, which can be used for future classes. There are two evening classes set for 6 p.m. Feb. 18 and 25, and one all-day class set for 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Feb. 22. For more information, call the center at 570-668-1192.

n Tamaqua: The Youth Writers Group meets weekly at 6 p.m. on Tuesdays at the Tamaqua Community Arts Center, 125 Pine St. For more information, contact Jacob Gursky on Facebook.

n Tamaqua: The borough's street department is collecting discarded Christmas trees throughout January. Residents must place their trees at curbside on their regular trash collection days. Trees will be collected as time and weather permit. Trees must be free of all tinsel and decorations. Residents are also asked to remove any plastic bags from the trees. Trees may also be dropped off behind the borough garage, 421 rear E. Broad St. No trees will be collected after Jan. 31.

n Tamaqua: The East End Fire Company has a chili cookoff and boilo contest slated for 1 to 6 p.m. Feb. 15 at the firehouse.

n Tuscarora: The Tuscarora Fire Company sponsors weekly Tuesday smoke-free bingo games at the firehouse. Doors open at 4:30 p.m. and games begin at 6:30 p.m. Proceeds benefit the company. Everyone is welcome.
