more crash details
MOUNT PLEASANT - A 19-year-old Pottsville man was injured when the bicycle he was riding collided with a vehicle on Route 901, near the intersection with Ramp Road in Branch Township, at 4:06 p.m. June 14.
Branch-Reilly Township police said Ryan Haslam, 903 Hickory St., was riding a bicycle when he drove into the path of an eastbound vehicle driven by John Warischalk, 2158 Wood Glen Road, Pottsville.
Haslam was treated by emergency personnel and then flown to Geisinger Medical Center, Danville, where he received treatment for a broken jaw and cuts and scratches, police said, adding that the man has since been released from the trauma center.
Police said their investigation into the crash is continuing.
Barnesville man
charged with theft
HOMETOWN - An 18-year-old Barnesville man was jailed Wednesday after being arrested by Rush Township police on burglary charges.
Police said David J. Halaburda was arraigned by Magisterial District Judge Carol A. Pankake, Tremont, on charges of burglary, criminal trespass, criminal mischief, access device fraud, theft and receiving stolen property.
He was then committed to Schuylkill County Prison unable to post $35,000 bail set by Pankake.
Police said officers were called to 21 Maple Ave. for a report of a burglary.
After an investigation, police said they determined the man tried to use a stolen credit card at the Brown Bag, Barnesville, and also at Wells Fargo, Pottsville.

with Wal-Mart theft
HOMETOWN - A 27-year-old Bowmanstown man was charged by Rush Township police with retail theft and receiving stolen property after an incident at Wal-Mart on June 4.
Police said Brian Marshall stole video games and DVDs valued at $813.72.
Charges against Marshall were filed with Magisterial District Judge Stephen J. Bayer, Tamaqua, police said.

HOMETOWN - An 18-year-old Quakake woman is facing charges of theft and receiving stolen property after a recent incident in Rush Township.
Police said Thursday that Rose Adamitis will now have to appear before Magisterial District Judge Stephen J. Bayer, Tamaqua.
Police said that in January, Adamitis was moving out of a residence on Ben Titus Road and stole jewelry and coins and it was later determined several of the items were pawned at a shop in Hazleton.

criminal mischief
CUMBOLA - State police at Frackville are investigated a criminal mischief incident that occurred at 168 Market St. about 11:20 p.m. Wednesday.
Police said Darlene Ann Mull reported someone threw a beer bottle at her 2004 Dodge Durango while it was parked in front of her home, causing minor damage to the passenger's side.

Haven man
injured in crash
REEDSVILLE - A 41-year-old Schuylkill Haven man suffered moderate injuries when the 2012 Harley Davidson Road King motorcycle he was driving crashed on Fair Road in Wayne Township about 7:30 p.m. Thursday.
State police at Schuylkill Haven said Todd Fekete was driving east when he was struck in the left side by a deer.
The impact caused Fekete to lose control and overturn the motorcycle that slid across the road and came to a stop next to a guiderail, police said.
Police said Fekete, who was not wearing a helmet, was taken to Reading Hospital and Medical Center, West Reading, by Pottsville-Schuylkill Haven Area EMS for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.
