n Bethel: Camp Dragonfly, sponsored by Hospice of Central PA, is a free weekend camp for children ages 6 to 12 who have experienced the death of a loved one. It is set for 6 p.m. June 6 to 2 p.m. June 8 at Camp Swatara. Participants will have opportunities to explore their loss, learn healthful ways of coping and also have fun. n Mahanoy City: Blessed Teresa of Calcutta Roman Catholic Church will conduct a Lenten food drive for the St. Vincent de Paul Society and Birthright on March 23. People are asked to turn on their porch lights at 6 p.m. to donate nonperishable food items or baby items. The drive is sponsored by the Active Christian Teens In Our Neighborhood Youth Group. n New Ringgold: Little Schuylkill Lions Club will sponsor a basket bingo featuring Longaberger baskets on Tuesday at the New Ringgold Fire Company. n Schuylkill Haven: The Penn State Schuylkill Spring 2014 Community Cultural Events Calendar includes a once-a-month showcase of a newly released feature film. Upcoming showings include "The Book Thief," rated PG-13, on Monday and "Wolf of Wall Street," rated R, on April 14. All showings will be at 6 p.m. in the Morgan Auditorium on campus. n Shenandoah: The Greater Shenandoah Area Historical Society will stage a Chinese auction Sunday at its 201 S. Main St. history center. n Tamaqua: Spring will mark the completion of the fifth year of the Tamaqua Salvation Army Older & Bolder program, which was launched in 2009 as a way for seniors to come together and discuss topics that are important to them, according to a Salvation Army press release. Older & Bolder has grown and even spawned other programs for seniors. Spring/summer sessions of the O&B program will begin on March 19 and meet regularly from 10 a.m. to noon on Wednesdays at the Tamaqua Salvation Army center, 105 W. Broad St. The program begins with socialization and discussion of upcoming events and the main activities begin at 10:30 a.m. They can include a guest speaker, trivia games and music. A light lunch is served after activities. The program has a $30 annual membership fee, which can be broken down into payments. The fees are used to offset some of the costs.
