leads to arrest
SAINT CLAIR - An investigation into vehicle damages that occurred Oct. 31 in the parking lot of Wal-Mart has led to charges against an Ashland man.
Saint Clair police said Michael Allvord, 45, will have to answer to criminal mischief charges stemming from the incident before Magisterial District Judge David A. Plachko, Port Carbon.
Police said David Costy reported the entire vehicle had been scratched and the damages were estimated at $3,645.98.
Video surveillance images showed a man, later identified by Costy as Allvord, walking around the entire truck and making contact with it using an object before leaving the area.

faces charges
SAINT CLAIR - A borough man was charged with trespassing by Saint Clair police after an incident about 5 a.m. Feb. 16.
Police said Scott A. Noll, 39, went to the home of Star Wishkin, 320 S. Mill St., despite being sent a certified letter telling him he is not allowed on the property.
Noll was observed on the property by the owner, who contacted authorities and pursued criminal charges, police said.

SAINT CLAIR - An Ashland woman was charged by Saint Clair police with criminal trespass after an incident at 2:40 p.m. Feb. 20 at the Schuylkill County Housing Development in the 300 block of Cherry Street.
Police said officers were called to the area to assist county sheriff's deputies in serving a Domestic Relations warrant and found Amy Hubler, 38, at 318 Cherry St.
Police said the woman was previously notified by the housing authority that she was not allowed on the property and will now have to answer to the charge before Magisterial District Judge David A. Plachko, Port Carbon.

charged in theft
SAINT CLAIR - Saint Clair police arrested a borough woman and charged her in connection with a theft from a vehicle about 10:30 p.m. Feb. 22 near the Distillery Bar at 106 N. 2nd St.
Police said Samantha C. Wensel, 21, was charged with theft from a motor vehicle and receiving stolen property and will have to answer before Magisterial District Judge David A. Plachko, Port Carbon.
Police said Wensel entered a 2009 Mitsubishi Lancer belonging to bar owner Jodi McNulty and removed an M&T Bank bag containing $2,850, a Samsung Galaxy Note II tablet and a purse containing baby items.
Wal-Mart incident
leads to 2 arrests
SAINT CLAIR - Two people were arrested by Saint Clair police and charged with retail theft after an incident about 6:15 p.m. Feb. 22 at Wal-Mart.
Police said officers were called to the store for a theft in progress and found Stephanie Woegens, 32, of Port Clinton, at the business and learned a man had fled.
When asked about the man, police said Woegens identified him as Travis Bindhammer, someone she said she did not know well. However, police said the investigation determined the man who fled was the woman's husband, Travis Woegens, and the items the two stole were valued at $433.21.
Both will now have to answer before Magisterial District Judge David A. Plachko, Port Carbon, police said.
