A city man arrested by Pottsville police and charged with bothering his neighbor on Feb. 22 had charges against him held for court during a preliminary hearing Friday before Magisterial District Judge James K. Reiley, Pottsville.
Christopher G. Young, 34, of 800-34 N. Second St., was arrested by Pottsville police Patrolman Richard Pugh and charged with one misdemeanor count of persistent disorderly conduct and one summary charge each of disorderly conduct and harassment.
Reiley determined the commonwealth proved a prima facie case and ordered all three charges against Young held for Schuylkill County Court.
Pugh said he was called to the building about midnight on a complaint from Angil Kreiser, 800-33 N. Second St., who said her neighbor, Young, was yelling and playing his television so loud that she and her family were unable to sleep.
Young was contacted and given a verbal warning for disorderly conduct.
Pugh said that about 1:30 a.m., the police were called for another complaint and spoke to Alyssa Brennan, 800-32 N. Second St., who said that Young was banging on the walls and yelling so loud that it woke her child.
Then, about 2:30 a.m. Pugh said officers were called to the area again and learned Young was outside of the building saying he was going to "kill" the neighbors for calling police.
Other court cases included:
Robert Allan Hamm, 32, of 1312 W. Norwegian St., Pottsville; withdrawn: not yielding at a roadway, failure to stop and give information or render aid and accidents involving damage to attended vehicles or property.
Steven L. Treece, 24, no address available; waived for court: possession with intent to manufacture or deliver a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and firearms not to be carried without a license.
