REINERTON - State police at Schuylkill Haven on Sunday arrested the woman who allegedly stabbed a Tower City man numerous times Saturday night after a domestic dispute in Porter Township.
Lacey Sitlinger, 30, who lives in the 1500 block of East Colliery Avenue in Porter Township, was charged with numerous violations, police said in a public information report released Sunday.
They included two counts of aggravated assault and one count each of simple assault, reckless endangerment, harassment, criminal mischief, careless driving and trespass by a motor vehicle, police said.
Sitlinger was arraigned before Magisterial District Judge James K. Reiley, Pottsville, then placed in Schuylkill County Prison, Pottsville, about 5 p.m. Sunday, after she failed to post $75,000 percentage bail, according to a prison spokesman.
The victim was a 37-year-old man, according to the report. However, police did not release the man's name.
"The injuries were not life-threatening," state police Cpl. David Mayes said at the scene Saturday night.
However, Mayes said the victim was flown to Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center, Hershey, for treatment.
The incident occurred at 7:24 p.m. Saturday in a van parked outside 1528 E. Colliery Ave., according to state police and a supervisor at Schuylkill County Communications Center, Pottsville.
Sitlinger assaulted the victim several times, cutting the man about the face and neck with a knife, police alleged Sunday.
"We're not sure what type of blade it was," Mayes said Saturday night.
The victim was able to exit the van.
Sitlinger fled the scene by getting into a vehicle and driving down a grassy lawn, which stretched approximately 150 feet from the 1500 block of East Brookside Street to the 1500 block of East Grand Avenue, according to Mayes and the report issued Sunday.
Mayes and Melissa Kyper, a detective with state police at Frackville, traced the tire tracks through the lawn at 1513 E. Grand Ave. with a flashlight at 8:45 p.m. Saturday, according to the report.
