Woman not hurt

in 1-vehicle crash

MYERSTOWN - A Bethel woman escaped injury when the 2003 Ford Explorer she was driving crashed about 12:30 p.m. Tuesday on North College Street, Route 501, just north of Hilltop Road in Jackson Township, Lebanon County.

State police at Jonestown said Lisa M. Conrad, 48, was driving south on Route 501 when she lost control while following a right curve.

The woman's SUV crossed the center lane and into the opposite lane. Conrad overcorrected, causing the vehicle to travel sideways off the road, continue for 126 feet through a grass lawn and strike a concrete bridge pillar.

After hitting the pillar, the SUV traveled onto Hilltop Road where it came to a final stop in the northbound lane, police said.

Conrad will be cited for driving at an unsafe speed as a result of the crash, police said.
