Woman sought in

vehicle incident

NEW RINGGOLD - State police at Frackville are investigating the unauthorized use of a vehicle belonging to a borough man and are seeking the whereabouts of a Pottsville woman in the incident.

Police said Steven Yenser, 42, allowed Carla Wingle, 42, of 11 Lake St., Pottsville, to use his white 2002 Subaru Outback station wagon on April 18 until April 20, but she never returned the vehicle.

A warrant for Wingle's arrest was issued by Magisterial District Judge James R. Ferrier, Orwigsburg, police said. As of Sunday, Wingle has yet to turn herself in to authorities, and police said Wingle may also have Yenser's Rossi 0.357 revolver.

Police said Yenser saw the vehicle at 9 p.m. Friday in Frackville. The license plate on the vehicle is GXL-2255.

Anyone with information about Wingle's whereabouts can call police at 570-874-5300.

Donaldson man

charged in theft

PINE GROVE - A Donaldson man faces theft and related charges for stealing $1,600 worth of wheels and tires from a garage Wednesday afternoon in Pine Grove Township, police said.

State police at Schuylkill Haven said employees at Stump's Garage, 18 Tremont Drive, reported seeing a Dodge Durango leaving with the items at 5 p.m. Wednesday. A search warrant was obtained through the office of Magisterial District Judge David J. Rossi, Tremont, and the items were found at the residence of Bradley L. Merwine, 35, police said.

Police filed charges against Merwine through Rossi's office.

Hamburg woman

faces theft charge

SCHUYLKILL HAVEN - A Hamburg woman was charged with theft after police said she tried to steal items from Redner's Warehouse Markets on Saturday evening in North Manheim Township.

State police at Schuylkill Haven said Laurie Rothermel, 48, removed tags from a shirt and hat and hid them in her shopping cart while she paid for other items at the 191 Manheim Road store at 8:30 p.m.

Charges will be filed with the office of Magisterial District Judge R. James Ferrier, Orwigsburg, police said.

Woman accused

in PFA violation

GIRARDVILLE - A borough woman faces charges after police said she violated a protection from abuse order at 3:52 p.m. Friday.

State police at Frackville said Siobhan Heiser, 34, violated the order when she pushed Barry Heiser, 35, of Girardville, at a West Mahanoy Avenue residence.

Police said indirect criminal contempt charges are pending through the office of Magisterial District Judge Christina E. Hale, Frackville.

Incident nets

charge for man

TREMONT - A borough man faces harassment charges after he allegedly kicked a woman below the knee while they were seated at a kitchen table at 5:15 a.m. April 27, police said.

State police at Schuylkill Haven said Anthony Beck, 30, kicked a 29-year-old woman, who was not identified, after an argument at a West Main Street residence.

Charges will be filed through the office of Magisterial District Judge David J. Rossi, police said.
