Police investigate
damaged tires
SCHUYLKILL HAVEN - Schuylkill Haven police reported receiving numerous calls from residents who had their tires slashed during the early morning hours Tuesday.
The incident occurred between 2 and 3 a.m. and resulted in 13 vehicles with damaged or destroyed tires.
The damage was reported primarily on the west side of the borough in the area of Stoyer's Dam and on West Columbia and West Main streets, police said.
Officer reviewed surveillance video from a business located in the vandalism area. The video displayed two white men who appear to be in their early 20s. One of the men was wearing a two-tone hoodie and jeans, while the other was wearing a light-colored T-shirt and shorts, police said.
The men were recorded in the area of West Main and St. James streets at 2:17 a.m., police said.
Police said the investigation is continuing, and officers planning to review two more security videos from other businesses in the area.

Valley View man
faces charges
CRESSONA - A Valley View man is facing charges of terroristic threats after an incident about 5:30 p.m. Friday at SAPA Extrusions Inc., 53 Pottsville St..
State police at Schuylkill Haven said Justin Olano, 32, will have to answer to charges filed against him before Magisterial District Judge James R. Ferrier, Orwigsburg.
Police said Olano was fired from SAPA that day and sent threatening text messages, along with a graphic picture, to two men, ages 35 and 52.
The victims were former co-workers of Olano, police said.
State police probe
theft of $460
State police at Schuylkill Haven are investigating a theft from residents between midnight Thursday and 11:59 p.m. Saturday at Luther Ridge, 160 Red Horse Road, North Manheim Township.
Police said someone stole about $460 from two residents, ages 88 and 86, and an employee.
The money was in the residents' rooms and the purse of the employee, police said.
