FRACKVILLE - Two Girardville residents charged with piling snow on another man's truck on Feb. 12 in Girardville waived their rights to preliminary hearings before Magisterial District Judge Christina E. Hale.

Kristen E. Rockwell, 21, and Zackary A. Evans, 25, both of 317 W. Main St., were arrested by Girardville police Patrolman Douglas Litwhiler and each charged with one count each of criminal mischief and disorderly conduct.

By waiving their right to a hearing, both Evans and Rockwell will have to answer to both charges in Schuylkill County Court.

Litwhiler charged Evans with shoveling snow onto a truck owned by Derek Emerich, who was at his grandparent's house. Evans said he was angered because Emerich parked in his parking space, and Evans admitted piling snow on the truck.

Rockwell admitted placing a note on the truck and wrote on dirt on the truck, calling Emerich a derogatory name and drawing a lewd image, Litwhiler said.

Damage to the truck from the snow being shoveled onto it totaled $1,468.74, the officer said.

Other court cases included:

Gerald A. Roche, 27, of Box 407, 100 E. Biddle St., Gordon - waived for court: theft and receiving stolen property.

Charles E. Hollway, 47, of 262 Ohio Ave., Shenandoah - waived for court: criminal trespass and defiant trespass.

Randall J. Bain, 53, of 121 Walnut St., Ashland - withdrawn: terroristic threats, simple assault and harassment.

Shannon L. Marlow, 37, of 12 Hillside Drive, Barnesville - withdrawn: forgery, theft and receiving stolen property.

George Mitchell, 32, of 367 Preston Ave., Girardville - withdrawn: forgery, theft and bad checks.

Mary E. Reiser, 41, of 48 North St., Plymouth - withdrawn: unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and driving while operating privileges are suspended or revoked.

Tressa L. Peterson, 44, of 129 Pioneer Road, Shenandoah - withdrawn: access device issued to another person and receiving stolen property. Waived for court: theft of property lost, mislaid or delivered by mistake.

Kyle A. Kroh, 22, of 422 New Castle St., Minersville - dismissed: simple assault. Held for court: simple assault and harassment.

Peter Paul Futyma, 25, of 74 Wood St., Ringtown - waived for court: DUI-controlled substance, driving with a suspended or revoked license, careless driving, driving without a license, following too closely and driving at an unsafe speed.

Heather A. Kessler, 28, of 721 E. Mahanoy Ave., Mahanoy City - waived for court: forgery, identity theft and furnishing false or fraudulent material information.

Amy M. Dower, 39, of 324 S. White St., Shenandoah - withdrawn: possession with intent to manufacture or deliver a controlled substance and possession of a controlled substance.

James K. Reiley

A Pottsville man arrested by Pottsville police for illegally possessing a handgun and threatening people with it on April 16 waived his right to a preliminary hearing before Magisterial District Judge James K. Reiley, Pottsville.

John M. Krisa Jr., 19, of 110 S. Jackson St., was arrested by Patrolman Kirk Becker and charged with felony firearms not to be carried without a license and misdemeanor offenses of recklessly endangering another person and disorderly conduct.

By waiving his right to a hearing, Krisa will now have to answer to all three charges in Schuylkill County Court.

Becker charged Krisa with having a 22-caliber handgun despite not having a permit to carry the weapon concealed.

Also, in the area of 1740 W. Norwegian St., Becker said Krisa became involved in an argument with others in the area and, after getting back into his car, began tapping a black handgun on the window, pointed it in the direction of Vanessa Vandermeer and threatened Vandermeer and her boyfriend using a derogatory phrase.

Other court cases included:

Scott T. Haberstroh, 44, of 934 Franklin St., Williamsport - waived for court: possession of a small amount of marijuana, driving without insurance, driving an unregistered vehicle and possession, sale or use of display documents.

Iylissa N. Jack, 21, no known address, Pottsville - waived for court: theft, receiving stolen property, unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and accidents involving damage to unattended vehicles or property.

James A. Johnson, 44, no known address - waived for court: criminal mischief and disorderly conduct.

Shayna M. Uroskie, 20, of 222 Harrison St., Pottsville - waived for court: theft.

Dexter J. Degrassi, 20, of 315 Minersville St., Seltzer - waived for court: DUI, DUI-controlled substance and turning movements and required signals.

David A. Plachko

PORT CARBON - A Saint Clair man arrested by New Castle Township police and charged with choking another man and pointing a gun at him on March 23 waived his right to a preliminary hearing before Magisterial District Judge David A. Plachko.

Stephen Kubeika, 26, of 351 Chestnut St., was arrested by township police Patrolman Brian Dronick and charged with one felony count of aggravated assault, one misdemeanor count each of recklessly endangering another person and simple assault, and a summary offense of harassment.

By waiving his right to a hearing, Kubeika will have to answer to all four offenses in Schuylkill County Court.

Dronick said Kubeika with getting upset with James Reed because Reed would not let him use his car. Kubeika then grabbed Reed by the neck with two hands and started choking him, Dronick said, adding that when Reed tried to leave, Kubeika produced a handgun, pointed it at Reed and threatened to shoot him.

Reed, who was able to leave and call 911, suffered a small laceration on his left cheek and a bruise on his chin, Dronick said.

Nathan D. Forker, 30, of 24 Grier Ave., Barnesville - waived for court: possession of a controlled substance and retail theft.
