SHENANDOAH - A man was found dead Thursday morning at Bicentennial Park located just off Herald Road.
Schuylkill County Deputy Coroner Andrew Szczyglak said he pronounced Christopher S. Streeter, 25, of Shenandoah, dead at the scene at 9:05 a.m.
Szczyglak said the man was discovered after hanging himself from a piece of playground equipment.
The deputy coroner said the manner of death has been ruled a suicide.

face charges
QUAKAKE - Six juveniles are facing charges by Rush Township police after an incident that began about 11:50 a.m. May 29 on Marian Avenue.
Police said the six boys threw eggs at an oncoming vehicle on Marian Avenue and then threw eggs at houses and cars in both Quakake and Hometown.
Police said the boys included a 16-year-old from Lake Hauto, a 15-year-old from Tamaqua, a 17-year-old from Tamaqua and three 16-year-olds, also from Tamaqua.
Police said charges against the six will be filed at the conclusion of the investigation.

jailed after assault
QUAKAKE - A Tamaqua man was jailed Sunday after being charged by Rush Township police with assaulting his uncle.
Police said Edward Nesgoda, 46, was arraigned on charges of terroristic threats, simple assault, disorderly conduct and harassment.
Police said Nesgoda went to a home on East Main Street, put a knife near his elderly uncle's face and threatened to kill him and burn down his house.
Nesgoda, police said, was arraigned by on-call Magisterial District Judge David A. Plachko, Port Carbon, and committed to Schuylkill County Prison unable to post $15,000 straight cash bail.

license plate theft
NEW RINGGOLD - State police at Frackville are investigating the theft of a license plate that occurred during the overnight hours Monday into Tuesday at Resser and Royer streets.
Police said someone stole the license plate with a registration of GNK-1121 from a 2004 Ford Freestar and fled the scene undetected.
