Police: Man faces
multiple charges
MAHANOY CITY - A borough man is facing charges of indecent exposure, resisting arrest and public drunkenness after an incident that occurred about 2:15 a.m. Sunday at Linden and Pine streets.
Police said Travis J. John, 26, of 110 W. South St., will have to answer to the charges before Magisterial District Judge Anthony J. Kilker, Shenandoah.
Police said officers on patrol noticed two men staggering in the middle of the intersection and not moving for traffic. When officers stopped one of the men, later identified as John, the man pulled down his pants and underwear and exposed his buttocks and genitals to them.
John then pulled up his clothing and began to run and finally stopped when ordered to do so, police said. The man subsequently resisted being taken into custody by grabbing onto the rear spoiler of a vehicle that was in the area.

Police investigate
hit-and-run crash
ORWIGSBURG - Police are investigating a hit-and-run that occurred at 1 p.m. June 7 on Route 61 near Route 895.
Police said David Kilmer, 53, of Auburn, driving a 2012 Toyota Tacoma, was stopped at a red light when David J. Ritter Jr., 66, of Orwigsburg, crashed his 1998 Saturn Sedan into the back of the Tacoma.
Police said Ritter applied his breaks but was driving too fast for conditions and was unable to stop before crashing into the back of the Tacoma.
Ritter did not give his biographical or insurance information to Kilmer, got back into his vehicle and fled north on Route 61, according to police.
Charges will be filed against Ritter through the Office of Magisterial Judge James R. Ferrier, Orwigsburg, for hit-and-run of an attended vehicle, failure to give information and render aid, driving too fast for conditions, impeding investigations by police officers and driving without insurance.
