ORWIGSBURG - A Schuylkill Haven woman is headed to Schuylkill County Court after not appearing Tuesday for her preliminary hearing on drug-related charges.

Candace L. Colna, 23, of 51 Grant St., is charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. Magisterial District Judge James R. Ferrier ordered the charges held for court after Tuesday's hearing, which was held in the defendant's absence.

Ferrier also asked the county court to issue and bench warrant for Colna and canceled the defendant's $2,500 unsecured bail.

State police at Schuylkill Haven alleged Colna possessed residue marijuana, a pipe, 13 hypodermic needles, a case, two metal spoons and two plastic baggies at 11:03 p.m. April 15 at Schuylkill Memorial Park in North Manheim Township.

Police said Colna was a passenger in a vehicle parked on a road in that cemetery.

"Upon interviewing Colna, she appeared very nervous," police alleged in the Affidavit of Probable Cause.

The items were found in a consensual search of Colna, police said.

Other defendants whose cases Ferrier considered on Tuesday, the charges against each one and the judge's dispositions of the matters included:

Stacey L. Bordner, 42, of 38 Rocky Road, Auburn; attempted aggravated assault, attempted simple assault, simple assault and harassment; right to preliminary hearing waived, attempted aggravated assault and attempted simple assault charges withdrawn, other charges bound over for court.

Edward J. Daley, 19, of 15 Chris Amber Drive, Orwigsburg; three counts of possession of a controlled substance and one of possession of drug paraphernalia; right to preliminary hearing waived, charges bound over for court.

Eric P. Maurer, 47, of 107 Heritage Heights, Pottsville; driving under the influence, driving under suspension-DUI related and disregarding traffic lanes; right to preliminary hearing waived, charges bound over for court.

John T. Morrison Jr., 62, of 307 Village Road, Orwigsburg; DUI and careless driving; charges held for court after preliminary hearing.

Jaqualine Reese, 53, of 18 Fritz Reed Ave., Schuylkill Haven; endangering the welfare of children; right to preliminary hearing waived, charge bound over for court.

Amanda D. Snyder, 36, of Cressona; access device fraud and theft of services; right to preliminary hearing waived, charges bound over for court.

Michele L. Terenchin, 39, of 725 N. Third St., Pottsville; three counts of theft by deception and one each of conspiracy, forgery and access device fraud; right to preliminary hearing waived, one count of theft by deception withdrawn, other charges bound over for court.

TREMONT - A Lebanon County woman is headed to Schuylkill County Court after waiving her right to a preliminary hearing Thursday on charges stemming from an alleged incident in October 2013.

Christina M. Walker, 36, of 536 Hemlock Hill Lane, Jonestown, faces charges of theft of services and criminal mischief. Magisterial District Judge David J. Rossi bound over those charges for court after Walker waived her right to the hearing.

State police at Schuylkill haven alleged Walker committed her crimes on Oct. 1, 2013, in Porter Township.

Walker is free on $5,000 unsecured bail pending further court action.

Other defendants whose cases Rossi considered on Thursday, the charges against each one and the judge's dispositions of the matters included:

Clair W. Alspaugh, 22, of 1531 E. Mountain Road, Hegins; aggravated assault by vehicle while driving under the influence, DUI, disregarding traffic lanes, failure to drive at a safe speed, careless driving and two counts each of recklessly endangering another person and seat belt violation; right to preliminary hearing waived, aggravated assault by vehicle while DUI charge withdrawn, other charges bound over for court.

Donathan V. Bixler, 18, of 327 E. Wiconisco Ave., Tower City; burglary, theft and receiving stolen property; charges dismissed.

John L. Constance Jr., 39, of 1112 Mountain Road, Pine Grove; DUI, driving under suspension-DUI related, disregarding traffic lanes and violation of restrictions on alcoholic beverages; right to preliminary hearing waived, charges bound over for court.

Angela M. Fetterolf, 20, of 140 Rosies Road, Ashland; simple assault and harassment; charges withdrawn.

Aaron A. Ulsh, 34, of 120 Maple Lane, Williamstown; three counts each of terroristic threats, simple assault and recklessly endangering another person and one each of aggravated assault and disorderly conduct; guilty plea to disorderly conduct, sentence of costs and a $250 fine, other charges withdrawn.
