Fence damage

results in charges

AUBURN - An Auburn man allegedly damaged another man's fence at 8 p.m. June 23.

State police at Schuylkill Haven said David Panchari Jr., 44, of Auburn, was observed on video surveillance damaging the fence of Jamie Wargo, 40, of Auburn, while Wargo was not home.

The damage was valued at approximately $120. Charges will be filed at the court of James R. Ferrier, Orwigsburg.

Saint Clair woman

faces charges

SAINT CLAIR - Saint Clair police charged a borough woman with disorderly conduct after an incident on June 3.

Police said Bobby Jo Rohrbach, 27, allegedly struck Severine Veneshosky in the face.

She will now have to answer to the charges before Magisterial District Judge David A. Plachko, Port Carbon.

Retail theft leads

to assault charge

SAINT CLAIR - A retail theft that occurred about 5 p.m. June 7 at Wal-Mart led to theft and assault charges being filed against a Frackville man who Saint Clair police said is responsible.

Police charged Harry R. Baney III, 27, with two counts of aggravated assault and one count each of resisting arrest, escape, possessing instruments of crime and retail theft.

Police said officers were called to the store for a retail theft and spoke with security who pointed out Baney as the thief.

When officers approached, Baney entered Subway, where an officer told him he was being placed under arrest and placed his hand on the man's shoulder.

Baney denied committing a theft, struck the officer in the chest and face and fled through the exit doors.

Baney, police said, dropped a black pistol from his waistband in the vestibule, which an officer retrieved, before an officer deployed his Taser, hitting Baney and causing him to fall to the ground. Baney then pulled out the probes from the Taser and fled the area on foot into the woods, police said.

for retail thefts

SAINT CLAIR - Saint Clair police reported charges were filed against two people following separate retail thefts on June 14 at Wal-Mart.

Police said Tammy Readinger, 40, of Williamstown, was charged with stealing 25 items valued at $274.71.

Hours later, police said Sean R. Keirsey, 29, of Gilberton, was seen taking numerous DVDs from shelves, placing them in his shopping cart and then going to the women's section, where he put on a pair of sunglasses, grabbed the DVDs and left the store without paying.

Both Readinger and Keirsey were stopped by store security and will now have to answer to the charges before Magisterial District Judge David A. Plachko, Port Carbon.

Ashland man

arrested, charged

MAHANOY CITY - An Ashland man was arrested by Mahanoy City police and charged with simple assault, disorderly conduct and harassment after an incident on June 10 at the Cocoa Hut, 101 E. Centre St.

Police said Raymond R. Hillibush, 34, of 708 Centre St., will have to answer to the charges before Magisterial District Judge Anthony J. Kilker, Shenandoah.

Police said officers were called to the store for a report of a fight and learned that Hillibush assaulted Timothy Wright by shoving him, punching him and then knocking him to the ground and hitting him in the ribs and face.

Hillibush fled the scene on foot but subsequently positively identified as the person responsible for the assault, police said.

Mah City man

faces charges

MAHANOY CITY - A borough man was arrested by Mahanoy City police after an incident that occurred about 12:40 a.m. June 21 at South Catawissa and West Centre streets.

Police said Christopher J. Decker, 25, of 311 W. Market St., will have to appear before Magisterial District Judge Anthony J. Kilker, Shenandoah, on charges of resisting arrest, persistent disorderly conduct and public drunkenness.

Police said officers were called to the area for a report of a fight and saw Decker make an assertive movement to his waistband.

Officers ordered Decker to raise his hand and searched him, turning up a bottle of Red's Apple Ale in violation of the borough's open container policy.

After determining Decker was intoxicated, police said officers tried to take him into custody but he resisted and refused to obey commands.
