Tamaqua man
wanted in theft
NEW RINGGOLD - Police are looking for a Tamaqua man who is facing charges of theft for trying to recycle stolen materials.
State police at Frackville said Nathan G. Fritz, 26, brought metal into J.W. Zaprazny Inc, 2401 Summer Valley Road, East Brunswick Township, to be recycled for cash.
The drainage grates were determined to be stolen from road maintenance in East Brunswick and Walker townships between 8:07 a.m. and 3:52 p.m. June 26.
Criminal charges of theft and receiving stolen property against Fritz were filed in the court of Magisterial District Judge James R. Ferrier, Orwigsburg. Ferrier issued an arrest warrant for Fritz.

Meth making
waste dumped
TAMAQUA - Waste from the manufacturing of methamphetamine was illegally dumped and discovered on June 26 in a wooded area a mile from the Tamaqua Howard D. Buhler Memorial Pool in Schuylkill Township.
State police at Frackville said someone dumped the waste about 7:30 p.m. June 26. The waste was discovered by a hiker, then recovered and disposed of by the State Police Clandestine Lab Team.
Gratz man hurt in
motorcycle crash
PINE GROVE - A Gratz man was traveling westbound on Route 895 when he crashed his vehicle at 11 p.m. Friday.
State police at Schuylkill Haven said Garry Martz, 53, attempted to turn right onto Dad Burnhams Road, and the 2011 Victory Freedom motorcycle he was riding slid onto its side and came to a rest along the northbound shoulder of Dad Burnhams Road.
Gratz was transported to Schuylkill Medical Center-South Jackson Street for treatment. Police said he was not wearing a seat belt and faces charges of driving at an unsafe speed.
Police were assisted on scene Pine Grove Area EMS.
Zion Grove man
faces charges
ZION GROVE - A Zion Grove man is facing charges after an incident between 1:45 and 2:30 p.m. June 28 at 7 Ferndale Hill Drive, Union Township.
State police at Frackville said Dustin T. Makara, 31, unlawfully entered the home of Jody and Scott Geist while they were home. Police said Makara was asked to leave several times but would not listen to the victims.
Police found Makara outside the victims' home, and discovered he was also involved in an incident with Shenandoah police earlier in the day.
Criminal charges for criminal trespass and disorderly conduct, both misdemeanors, and a summary offense of public intoxication were filed against Makara at the court of Magisterial District Judge Christina E. Hale, Frackville
Lead brick tossed
through window
AUBURN - Police are investigating an incident in which someone threw a lead brick through a car's back window between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Friday at 703 Berne Drive, South Manheim Township.
State police at Schuylkill Haven said the vehicle was a 2002 Dodge Intrepid owned by Paul Anthony Donati, Schuylkill Haven.

Car battery taken
in North Manheim
RENNINGERS - A car battery was taken from a car between 7 p.m. Tuesday and 6 p.m. Wednesday at 3 Grace Ave., North Manheim Township.
State police at Schuylkill Haven said someone stole the battery from a 2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee belonging to Lori Slavinsky, Schuylkill Haven.

Girardville man
faces charges
GIRARDVILLE - A borough man is facing charges after an incident at 10 a.m. Wednesday.
State police at Frackville said John Yagielniskie, 125 W. Ogden St., threw a bottle through a window and kicked the door to a home at 615 E. Mahanoy Ave., Girardville, and was cursing and screaming.
Police said Yagielniskie will receive a summons in the mail for charges of criminal mischief and disorderly conduct.

truck near I-81
TREMONT - Items were taken from a truck parked at the park and ride between 6:30 a.m. and 6 p.m. Wednesday at Route 209 and Interstate 81 in Frailey Township.
State police at Schuylkill Haven said Brent Herb, 31, of Elizabeth, said someone pried open his truck bed and cap and stole a Husky 5hp air compressor, a Dewalt nailer, a 2-ton car jack, a circular saw, an air hose, a hammer and a flat bar before fleeing.
