n Pine Grove: The Pine Grove Ambulance association will offer CPR classes including heartsaver AED recertification at 6 p.m. Wednesday followed by professional CPR recertification at 7:30 p.m. Skills covered are taught according to the American Heart Association guidelines. n Port Carbon: The Port Carbon Janet Eich Public Library preschool storytime is in progress. Children ages 3-5 must be registered in advance. Beginning on Sept. 19, two classes will be held from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. and 3 to 4 p.m. on Fridays. However, this will depend on how many sign up. n Pottsville: An American Red Cross blood drive is set for 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at Fairlane Village mall. People who are 17 or older, weighing at least 110 pounds and in general good health are eligible to give blood. n Primrose: The 80th annual Ukrainian Seminary Day to benefit the St. Josaphat Ukrainian Catholic Seminary, Washington, D.C., is set for 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. July 27 at St. Nicholas Grove. Route 901. It will include ethnic and regional food prepared by the parishes of the deanery. Beverages will include beer and mixed drinks. A Hierarchical Divine Liturgy will be celebrated by Metropolitan Archbishop Stefan Soroka and clergy of the deanery at 11 a.m. Entertainment will include a live polka broadcast from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. WPPA Radio 1360-AM. St. Nicholas School Student Chorus will perfom at 1:15 p.m. and the Kazka Ukrainian Folk Ensemble will be featured from 1:30 to 3 p.m. followed by the McAdoo Patronage BVM Women's Junior Choir. The polka band John Stevens and Doubleshot will be featured from 4 to 8 p.m. The event will also include vendors and crafters selling traditional Eastern European items, a theme basket auction, games, pysanky demonstrations and a pysanky class. The South Anthracite Deanery of the Ukrainian Catholic Archeparchy of Philadelphia is comprised of 12 parishes in Schuylkill, Luzerne, Northumberland and Columbia counties. n Shenandoah: Entertainment at the 100th anniversary Our Lady of Mount Carmel Roman Catholic Parish Italian Festival set for today through Sunday at the church grounds, Diamond and Washington streets, will be as follows: 6:30 to 10:30 p.m. today, Ghost Country; 6:30 to 10:30 p.m. Saturday, Toolshed Jack; 6 to 9 p.m. Sunday, Rick Lorady as Dean Martin. At 9:30 p.m. Sunday there will be a fireworks display by Zambelli International. The festival will also feature homemade Italian food, games and amusements. For more information, call 570-985-9140.

n Shenandoah: An all-you-can-eat crab fest is set for 2 to 6 p.m. Saturday at Defender Hose Company No. 3, 300 Furnace St. in the borough's Turkey Run section. The cost is $39 for adults and $29 for takeouts. For children 12 and younger, the cost is $12. Refreshments and other food will be included. n Shenandoah: Divine Mercy Roman Catholic Parish is sponsoring a bus trip to Mount Airy Casino, 312 Woodland Road, Mount Pocono, on Aug. 3. The bus will depart at 9 a.m. from the M&T Bank at Main and Centre streets and leave the casino at 5 p.m. for the return trip. The cost is $23, with $25 in slot play and a $10 food voucher. n Tamaqua: A free concert featuring the Cressona Band is set for 7 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Tamaqua East End Park, East Mountain Road. There will also be a few selections by the Junior Cressona Band. The event is being sponsored by "a friend." People are welcome to bring lawn chairs to enjoy the performance.
