ORWIGSBURG - A Schuylkill Haven man is headed to Schuylkill County Court after waiving his right to a preliminary hearing on July 15 on charges stemming from an alleged encounter in December 2013 with an underage girl.

David C. Kriner, 57, of 39 N. Berne St., faces charges of indecent assault and corruption of minors. Magisterial District Judge James R. Ferrier bound over those charges for court after Kriner waived his right to the hearing.

State police at Schuylkill Haven alleged Kriner indecently assaulted the girl, who was under 18, between 6:30 p.m. and 7 p.m. Dec. 15, 2013, in West Brunswick Township.

Police said Kriner hugged and kissed the girl, and then touched her inappropriately. The girl then pushed Kriner away, according to police.

Kriner is free on $5,000 unsecured bail pending further court action.

Other defendants whose cases Ferrier considered on July 15, the charges against each one and the judge's dispositions of the matters included:

John A. Casella, 23, of 314 E. Main St., Schuylkill Haven; three counts of conspiracy and one each of criminal mischief, loitering and prowling at nighttime, and disorderly conduct; right to preliminary hearing waived, disorderly conduct charge and one count of conspiracy withdrawn, other charges bound over for court.

Shawn T. Hart, 41, of 435 Peacock St., Pottsville; bad checks; right to preliminary hearing waived, charge bound over for court.

Pamela A. Mack, 38, of 230 Arnot St., Saint Clair; driving under the influence and careless driving; right to preliminary hearing waived, charges bound over for court.

Jeffrey M. McAnaney, 25, of 41 York Farm Road, Pottsville; two counts each of theft and defiant trespass and one each of aggravated assault, recklessly endangering another person and receiving stolen property; right to preliminary hearing waived, aggravated assault charge withdrawn, other charges bound over for court.

Krystal M. Ogilvie, 32, of 322 St. John St., Easton; retail theft and receiving stolen property; right to preliminary hearing waived, charges bound over for court.

Nicholas R. Phillips, 23, of 119 Schuylkill St., Cressona; three counts each of possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance and possession of a controlled substance, two of public drunkenness and one each of possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a small amount of marijuana and DUI; charges held for court after preliminary hearing.

Stacy C.M. Roberts, 24, of 412 Oak St., Port Carbon; fleeing or eluding police, DUI, reckless driving, stop sign violation, driving the wrong way, failure to drive at a safe speed and possession of drug paraphernalia; right to preliminary hearing waived, fleeing or eluding police charge withdrawn, other charges bound over for court.

Stephen F. Stripe, 50, of 490 Mountain Road, New Ringgold; materially false written statement, unsworn falsification to authorities and false statement under penalty; right to preliminary hearing waived, materially false written statement and unsworn falsification to authorities charges withdrawn, other charge bound over for court.

Crystal L. Torres, 25, of 7850 NW 10th St., Pembroke, Florida; two counts each of access device fraud and receiving stolen property; right to preliminary hearing waived, charges bound over for court.

Michael Ward, 35, of 417 Parkway, Schuylkill Haven; DUI and careless driving; right to preliminary hearing waived, charges bound over for court.
