The state Department of Transportation is encouraging motorists to test their skills about driving safety by taking an online quiz.
The quiz at justdrivepa.org is made of questions in 11 categories and is available until Aug. 2.
The questions range from seat belt use, impaired driving, aggressive driving, motorcycles and heavy trucks.
For example, a question about seat belts asks, "National statistics show three out of four crashes occur how far from home?"
The answer is 25 miles.
"Our top priority is safety and it's valuable to see the public's opinion on traffic safety laws, their behaviors and how we communicate with them," Barry J. Schoch, PennDOT secretary, said in a press release issued Friday.
Ron Young, district press officer for PennDOT District 5, Allentown, said the survey is another way to keep in contact with the public.
"This is another way we gauge the public opinion on what we're doing. Everyone uses the roads at some point," he said Monday.
More than 3,300 people completed the survey last year, according to PennDOT.
