ORWIGSBURG - A Pottsville man is headed to Schuylkill County Court after waiving his right to a preliminary hearing Tuesday for allegedly selling a prescription drug to a confidential informant in January.
Richard W. Adams, 58, of 220 Market Square Apartments, is charged with delivery of a controlled substance and possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, each of which Magisterial District Judge James R. Ferrier bound over for the county court following the defendant's waiver of his right to a hearing.
Schuylkill County detectives charged Adams with selling 20 tablets of Vicodin for $60 in a controlled buy to a confidential informant at 8:36 p.m. Jan. 16 on West Penn Street in Schuylkill Haven.
Adams is free on $20,000 unsecured bail pending further court action.

Andrew S. Stevens, 22, of 3260 Sweet Arrow Lake Road, Pine Grove; DUI and careless driving; right to preliminary hearing waived, charges bound over for court.
Jean J. Timothee, 25, of 2129 Fairview St., West Reading; DUI, driving under suspension-DUI related, accident involving damage to attended vehicle or property, accident involving damage to unattended vehicle or property and reckless driving; right to preliminary hearing waived, charges bound over for court.
Jeremy Tresselt, 32, of 31 Main St., Newmanstown; five counts of conspiracy and one each of burglary, criminal trespass, theft, receiving stolen property and criminal mischief; right to preliminary hearing waived, charges bound over for court.
Dustin K. Wolfe, 28, of 66 Nut Grove Road, Pine Grove; four counts of conspiracy and one each of burglary, criminal trespass, theft and receiving stolen property; two counts of conspiracy and one of receiving stolen proeprty held for court after preliminary hearing, other charges dismissed.
