BRANDONVILLE - State police at Frackville are investigating vandalism that occurred between 3 p.m. Saturday and 8 a.m. Sunday at a business site in East Union Township.
Police said someone threw a brick and smashed the front door glass at Signature Springs LLC, 22 Signature Springs Blvd., and also threw rocks through both side windows and front windshield of a backhoe that was parked on the property.

Burglars take
funds from home
BROWNSVILLE - State police at Frackville are investigating a burglary that occurred between 5 p.m. Thursday and 10:30 a.m. Sunday in this section of West Mahanoy Township.
Police said someone opened an unlocked window in the rear of the home of Dorothy Steele, 1259 W. Penn St., and stole several containers of coins and fled into a wooded area in the mountain.

Pottsville man
charged in stop
BETHEL - A Pottsville man was charged with driving under the influence at 2:20 a.m. Sunday on Route 343 and Johns Way in Bethel Township, Lebanon County, police said.
State police at Jonestown said Michael Anthony Allen, 46, was pulled over in his vehicle and appeared to be intoxicated and was arrested. He was transported to the state police barracks for a breath test.

PORT CARBON - Charges are pending against a Pottsville man after he was driving at high rate of speed and struck two parked vehicles at 2:30 a.m. Saturday on Fourth Street, police said.
State police at Schuylkill Haven said James V. Long, 19, was driving a 1996 Dodge Intrepid when he lost control of the vehicle and struck a 2008 Chevrolet Aveo and a 2004 Dodge Stratus. All three vehicles sustained heavy damage and Long was not injured, police said.

PALMYRA - A Tower City man was charged with retail theft in an incident that occurred July 30 at a store in North Londonderry Township, Lebanon County, police said.
State police at Jonestown allege Eric Scott Traub, 34, stole $19 worth of merchandise at 9:39 a.m. from the Wal-Mart.

SCHUYLKILL HAVEN - Five people face underage drinking charges while an Ashland man faces charges for corruption of minors after borough police received an anonymous call at 10 p.m. Aug. 9 about an underage drinking party at 8 Fritz Reed Ave., police said.
Borough police charged two 16-year-olds, a 17-year-old, Dylan Eckroth, 20, of Schuylkill Haven, and Danielle Healy, 18, of Schuylkill Haven, with underage drinking. Robert Pruden, 21, was charged with corruption of minors, police said.

SCHUYLKILL HAVEN - Two borough residents face charges of possession of drugs and paraphernalia after borough police were called to their residence 11:45 p.m. Aug. 10 at 136 Centre Avenue, Apt. 6, for a domestic disturbance, police said.
Borough police said Desiree Hummel, 23, and David Natale, 25, had an argument and no physical confrontation, but while police were there they saw several items of drugs and paraphernalla in plain view. Police said a young child at the residence was turned over to a relative and Children & Youth was also contacted.

SCHUYLKILL HAVEN - Lee Fidler, 44, of Schuylkill Haven, was charged with possession of drugs and paraphernalia after borough police stopped him in a Ford F-150 at 7:50 p.m. Aug. 12. Police said Fidler was pulled over for an expired inspection sticker and marijuana and a smoking pipe were found on the driver.

SCHUYLKILL HAVEN - A 22-year-old Lebanon man faces charges of driving under the influence, driving with a suspended license and other traffic violations after he was stopped by borough police on Route 61 at 8 p.m. Aug. 13.
Police said Branden Kershner failed a field sobriety test and a charge of driving under the influence is pending the result of a blood test.

SCHUYLKILL HAVEN - Borough police cited Donald Seiger, 47, of 441 Hess St., for violating the borough burning ordinance.
Police said they were contacted by a resident about someone burning in the borough, and Seiger was burning wood outside his home and had been warned before about violating the ordinance.

SCHUYLKILL HAVEN - Joshua Noecker, 23, faces multiple charges for a hit-and-run accident and driving while intoxicated at 9:30 p.m. Aug. 14 on South Berne Street, police said.
Borough police said they were able to locate Noecker at Turkey Hill after witnesses provided a description of the vehicle and driver. Police said the man was highly intoxicated and he failed a field sobriety test.
Police said Noecker refused a blood test at Schuylkill Medical Center-South Jackson Street, and that the man also faces a mandatory year suspension of his driving license for refusing the blood test.

SCHUYLKILL HAVEN - Borough police charged a borough man and a Cressona women for having open containers in a vehicle after nearly hitting a police vehicle at 4:30 a.m. Friday on East Main Street.
Police said a borough officer was directing traffic for the borough crew as they painted crosswalks along the street and a vehicle nearly struck the police unit. Police said Shea Pothering, 22, and James Hiester, had two open bottles of beer in the vehicle cup holders.

SCHUYLKILL HAVEN - Bryon Wasser, 43, of Schuylkill Haven, faces charges of harassment and disorderly conduct after police allege he harassed his ex-wife while at their daughters' cheerleading practice at 7 p.m. Friday at the Island.
Borough police said they received the complaint from Jodi McGovern, 41, that her ex-husband was arguing with her and threw a pair of cleats at her. Police said other people at the scene intervened and Wasser left the area.
