A Minersville man went free Wednesday after admitting in Schuylkill County Court that he violated a protection from abuse order in August.

James D. Wolfe Jr., 31, pleaded guilty to indirect criminal contempt, which is contempt committed outside the courtroom.

Judge John E. Domalakes accepted Wolfe's plea and sentenced him to serve 17 days in prison with immediate parole, plus an additional six months on probation.

Domalakes also sentenced Wolfe to pay costs and a $300 fine and undergo mental health and drug and alcohol evaluations.

State police at Schuylkill Haven charged Wolfe with violating the order Aug. 25 by approaching and yelling at the victim in a public place.

Judge Cyrus Palmer Dolbin had entered the order against Wolfe on Feb. 6.

Also in the county court, Judge Charles M. Miller on Tuesday ordered return of a stolen gun to its true owner, Thomas Elo, 51, of Cumbola.

Neither prosecutors nor Pottsville police objected to the return of the gun, a 22-caliber Jennings pistol, to Elo.

"He is legally entitled to possess a firearm," First Assistant District Attorney Thomas J. Campion Jr. said.

Elo had testified that the gun had been stolen from him.

In other county court action, a Saint Clair woman is headed to state prison after Domalakes on Monday revoked her probation for a third time.

Jennifer T. Hollywood-Kramer, 36, must be evaluated for the state intermediate punishment program, which combines punishment with treatment for substance abuse problems, Domalakes ruled.

"Do you acknowledge you need help with your drug problem?" Domalakes asked Hollywood-Kramer.

"Yes, I do," she replied.

Hollywood-Kramer admitted violating her probation by failing three drug tests, diluting samples to be used in drug tests, not performing 100 hours community service and not making regular payments on costs and restitution.

She originally pleaded guilty Aug. 21, 2008, to theft by deception and unsworn falsification to authorities, with prosecutors dropping an additional count of theft by deception. At that time, Domalakes placed her on probation for five years and also sentenced her to pay costs, $50 to the Criminal Justice Enhancement Account and $20,206 restitution, and submit a DNA sample to law enforcement authorities.

Pottsville police had charged her with committing her theft on Nov. 30, 2003, in the city.

Domalakes previously revoked Hollywood-Kramer's probation Aug. 12, 2011, and Oct. 15, 2012.

Also in the county court, Schuylkill County prosecutors have withdrawn six drug-related charges they had filed against a Mahanoy City woman for an alleged December 2011 incident.

Tabitha J. St. Pierre, 22, had been charged with two counts each of possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance and possession of a controlled substance and one each of conspiracy and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Pottsville police had alleged she possessed crack cocaine, marijuana, a digital scale and packaging materials on Dec. 9, 2011, in her city apartment.

In an order entered Tuesday, President Judge William E. Baldwin allowed prosecutors to withdraw the charges and directed St. Pierre to pay the costs.
