A man's arm was trapped under his tractor-trailer Saturday after it crashed on a sharp curve on the McAdoo on-ramp to Interstate 81 in Kline Township.
The crash occurred about 3:30 p.m. when the driver, traveling on the ramp to enter Interstate 81, went off the right side of the road.
The truck struck and went over guide rails and came to a stop on its side, pinning the driver's arm under the passenger side of the truck.
McAdoo firefighters worked to free the man with assistance from Hazle Township firefighters, who used heavy duty air bags to try to lift the truck to free the arm.
A heavy duty wrecker was also at the scene and assisted with stabilizing the truck and lifting it high enough to free the man.
Due to the extent of injuries, a Medevac landed on the on-ramp and flew the man to a trauma center for additional treatment.
State police at Frackville are investigating the crash.
Firefighters from Delano also assisted at the scene.
