Shen man talked

down from roof

SHENANDOAH - A 26-year-old borough man was arrested by Shenandoah police and charged with recklessly endangering another person and disorderly conduct after he was found running around on rooftops in the area of Gilbert and Cherry streets just after midnight Sunday.

Police said Dennis Yezulinas, 405 W. Cherry St., will have to answer to the charges before Magisterial District Judge Anthony J. Kilker, Shenandoah.

Police said officers were called to the area and found Yezulinas on the roof of 401 W. Cherry St., screaming about his father.

Yezulinas was hopping around the peak of the roof and when told to come down, refused to do so, prompting officers to call EMS and firefighters to the scene as a precaution.

Police said officers gained access to the roof and located Yezulinas who, after speaking about 45 minutes with Patrolman Travis Bowman, decided to come down.

Police said the man's actions disturbed numerous people in the area as crowds began to gather in the area of 401 West Cherry St. His decision to climb atop a roof, act in a disorderly manner, and refusal to come off the roof put the lives of officers in danger of serious bodily injury or death.
