2 men not hurt
in 2-vehicle crash
CUMBOLA - Two men were not injured in a two-vehicle crash at 2:40 p.m. Friday on Market and Trolley streets in Blythe Township.
State police at Frackville said the crash occurred as a 2006 Ford Mustang driven by Michael O. Hare, 23, of Barnesville, was traveling south on Route 209 and stopped behind stopped traffic that were waiting for a vehicle to turn onto Trolley Street.
A 2001 Toyota Celica GT, driven by Joseph P. Harkins, 35, of New Philadelphia, also traveling south on Route 209, saw the stopped traffic, applied the brakes and began to skid, crashing into the back of Hare.
Both drivers were uninjured and were wearing seat belts.
Harkins's vehicle was towed from the scene.
He was cited for the crash.
2 Haven men
escape injury
FRIEDENSBURG - Two Schuylkill Haven men were not injured in a one-vehicle crash at 6:30 a.m. Friday on Long Run Road near Laurel Street in Wayne Township.
State police at Schuylkill Haven said the crash occurred as a 1991 Ford Mustang driven by Austin L. Bohr, 22, with passenger Raymond L. Bohr, 53, was traveling west on Route 443 in the right lane, crossed into the oncoming lane of travel, entered the eastbound shoulder and struck a culvert.
There were no reported injuries and the vehicle was towed from the scene.
Austin L. Bohr was cited for failing to drive within a single lane.
