ELIZABETHVILLE - A Mount Carmel man charged with a Dec. 8 theft in Williamstown had charges against held for court during a preliminary hearing before Dauphin County Magisterial District Judge Rebecca J. Margerum.
Nicholas R. Harman, 21, of 446 W. Sixth St., was arrested by state police Trooper Rodney Capouillez of the Lykens station and charged with one count each of theft and receiving stolen property. Margerum determined the Commonwealth proved a prima facie case and ordered both charges against Harman held for Dauphin County Court.
Capouillez charged Harman with stealing a Mongoose bicycle, a hammer and a 25-foot extension cord owned by Christopher Lenker from the back porch of his home at 143 E. Market St.
The stolen items have an estimated value of $220, Capouillez said.

Julio Garcia III, 34, of 611 Old West Chocolate Ave., Hershey - waived for court: making repairs to or selling offensive weapons, driving a vehicle without a valid inspection and driving with a suspended or revoked license.
Jimmy Melton, 48, of 21 S. Moore St., Apt. 4, Elizabethville - waived for court: retail theft.
Michael E. Whitcomb, 32, of 116 Pearl St., Millersburg - withdrawn: operation or permitting operation of a vehicle with unsafe equipment. Waived for court: DUI-controlled substance.
Michael W. Motter, 44, of 188 Chelton Ave., Millersburg - waived for court: DUI-controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Rebecca Strauser, 36, of 618 Paxton Drive, Dalmatia - waived for court: possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, DUI-controlled substance and turning movements and required signals.
Dennis E. Newman, 18, of 4559 State Route 209, Elizabethville - waived for court: DUI and DUI-controlled substance.
Katie A. Kemrer, 40, of Box 335, Gratz - held for court: DUI-controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Randy L. Mauser, 49, of 253 Roller Road, Elizabethville - waived for court: DUI, DUI-high rate and careless driving.
Matthew W. Riegel, 46, of 301 Pottsville St., Lykens - waived for court: DUI, DUI-highest rate, DUI-controlled substance and driving an unregistered vehicle.

PORT CARBON - A woman stealing a postal money order from a home at 515 Pine Hill St. in Minersville on Dec. 3 waived her right to a preliminary hearing before Magisterial District Judge David A. Plachko.
Patricia A. Krammes, 51, of Box 366, Minersville, was arrested by Minersville police Patrolman Eric Sterner and charged with one count each of theft and receiving stolen property. By waiving her right to a hearing, Krammes will have to answer to both charges in Schuylkill County Court.
Sterner said Kenneth Staab reported having an incident at his home about 3:05 a.m. that day and had a money order on his table under some papers. The money order was subsequently cashed.
When interviewed, Sterner said Krammes admitted taking the money order from Staab's home and making it out to herself.

Jeffrey W. Tellez, 42, of 507 Baker St., Minersville - dismissed: simple assault and harassment.
Amanda Lee Smith, 23, of 198 Llewellyn Road, Pottsville - waived for court: DUI-controlled substance, careless driving and disregard for single traffic lane.
Stephen Murray, 25, of 1211 Ave. C, Reading - waived for court: retail theft and conspiracy.
Richard Vazquez, 34, of 645 N. Sixth St., Reading - waived for court: retail theft and conspiracy.
