An Orwigsburg woman will spend time in prison after having her probation in three cases revoked Tuesday in Schuylkill County Court.

Kayla M. Perry, 21, must serve six to 23 months in prison, plus 12 additional months on probation, Judge John E. Domalakes ruled.

Domalakes revoked Perry's probation after the defendant admitted violating its terms.

Perry originally pleaded guilty on May 22, 2013, to two charges of theft in two separate cases, and one each of retail theft and conspiracy in a third. Prosecutors withdrew three counts of theft by deception and two of receiving stolen property.

At that time, Domalakes placed her on probation for 23 months and also sentenced her to pay costs, $150 to the Criminal Justice Enhancement Account and $1,476.06 restitution, amounts Perry still must pay under the terms of Tuesday's sentence.

Orwigsburg police charged Perry with committing the first theft on July 16, 2011.

Schuylkill Haven borough police charged her with committing the second theft on Dec. 30, 2011.

Saint Clair police charged Perry with committing the retail theft on July 4, 2012.

In other recent county court action, Judge Jacqueline L. Russell accepted guilty pleas from, and, pursuant to agreements between prosecutors and defendants, imposed the indicated sentences on, these people:

Prosecutors withdrew charges of driving under suspension-DUI related, failure to use low beams and seat belt violation.

All defendants who were sentenced must pay costs as a part of their sentences.

A Schuylkill Haven man will not have to serve additional time in prison on the drug-related charge to which he pleaded guilty Friday in Schuylkill County Court.

William S. Walters, 37, pleaded guilty to possession of drug paraphernalia.

Judge John E. Domalakes accepted the plea and, pursuant to an agreement between prosecutors and the defendant, sentenced Walters to time served to 12 months in prison and granted him immediate parole. Domalakes also sentenced Walters to pay costs and $100 to the Substance Abuse Education Fund.

Schuylkill Haven borough police had charged Walters with possessing a glass tube and a plastic baggie on Aug. 1, 2013, in the borough.

Since Walters is confined in State Correctional Institution/Mahanoy on other charges, Domalakes conducted the guilty plea hearing by videoconference.

In another Friday case, Rudolph Millsaps, 63, of Statesville, N.C., pleaded guilty to two charges that he violated Pennsylvania Department of Transportation regulations for truckers.

Judge Jacqueline L. Russell accepted Millsaps' plea and, pursuant to an agreement between prosecutors and the defendant, sentenced him to pay costs and $525 in fines.

State police at Jonestown charged Millsaps with violating the regulations on Sept. 17, 2013, on Interstate 81 in Mahanoy City. Police said Millsaps drove more than 14 hours and falsified his logbook to conceal that fact.

Magisterial District Judge Anthony J. Kilker, Shenandoah, found Millsaps guilty on Nov. 20, but the defendant appealed that decision on Dec. 20.

Also in the county court, prosecutors have withdrawn charges stemming from 2003 against a Chester County man.

Charles Heinrich, 49, of West Chester, had been charged with theft and theft by deception. Prosecutors alleged he committed those crimes on June 6, 2003.

President Judge William E. Baldwin issued an order Thursday allowing prosecutors to drop the charges and directing Heinrich to pay the costs of the case.

In other recent county court action, Baldwin accepted guilty pleas from, and, pursuant to an agreement between prosecutors and the defendant, imposed the indicated sentences on, these people:

Miller, 39, of Pine Grove - driving under the influence; 72 hours to six months in prison, $1,000 fine, $300 SAEF payment, $50 payment to the Criminal Justice Enhancement Account, $60 restitution to Schuylkill Medical Center-South Jackson Street and 10 hours community service.
