Say it isn't snow.
The white stuff will fall today and Wednesday and remind us how spring can be unpredictable.
"It's not going to be a lot of snow," said Kevin Fitzgerald, a meteorologist with the National Weather Service, State College.
The high for today will be about 35 and the low about 22, according to the website for the NWS.
"There might be a little snow flurry activity around dawn," but most of it will be in the afternoon or the evening, Tony Mach, a meteorologist with the NWS, said.
He said "about an inch" is possible during the bout of winter weather today.
Both Mach and Fitzgerald said the snow will likely just make the roads wet.
"It's not going to last," Fitzgerald said.
On Wednesday, snow showers are possible in the morning. However, no accumulation is expected, Fitzgerald said.
High temperatures will be in the mid-30s; lows will be in the upper teens.
Winds ranging from 18 to 21 with gusts up to 31 mph are possible Wednesday, according to the NWS.
Snow is not forecast for the rest of the week. The high will be about 46 on Thursday and in the high 50s the rest of the week.
Fitzgerald did not know when the last date it snowed in the county was last year. Seeing snow in April is possible.
"It depends on your elevation," he said.
Municipalities have seen a lot of snow this year, he said.
For example, 59 inches of snow has fallen in Mahanoy City since November. The average is in the low to mid 40-inch range, Fitzgerald said.
Chris Figueiredo, 46, of Pottsville, walked on Centre Street on Monday and did not want to hear about more snow.
"I think everybody's fed up with it," he said, but added that because it is near the last week of March and temperatures will be warmer, he does not think the snow will linger.
"When it comes, it won't last long," he said.
