Tri-Valley Lions

Mikaela Masser, along with her parents, Josey and Mike Masser, were guests of the Tri-Valley Lions at the group's first meeting for March, as she was recognized for her talent in ceramics and graphic arts.

Among the works of art that she exhibited were pieces of pottery and ceramics - a skill that she developed by studying at the Mad Potter since she was a fifth-grader - as well as drawings, charcoal, tissue paper art, watercolors and acrylics. At school, she is a member of student council, Future Business Leaders of America, National Honor Society, SWAT Club, and Big Brothers/Big Sisters. She has been listed on the distinguished honor roll all four years of high school.

Outside school, Mikaela is a member of Salem Church at Rough & Ready and plans to enroll at Lock Haven University, majoring in early childhood education with a possible minor in special education or art. She was presented with a plaque naming her as the outstanding student in the arts for March.
