Police investigate
damage to car
MAR LIN - Police are looking for those responsible for damaging a car recently in Norwegian Township.
State police at Schuylkill Haven said someone put white liquid on the handles of a red 2005 Ford Freestyle, owned by Patricia Beadle, Pottsville, between May 20 and Friday.
Police said the vehicle was parked on Maple Street at the time of the incident.

Pottsville woman
faces DUI charge
FRACKVILLE - Police said a Pottsville woman faces charges of driving under the influence after a traffic stop Sunday in West Mahanoy Township.
State police at Frackville said Wendy Lynn Haluska, 40, was driving on Route 61 south in West Mahanoy Township at 9:26 p.m. Sunday when she was stopped for speeding.
Police said they determined Haluska was under the influence of alcohol and she was taken to Schuylkill Medical Center-South Jackson Street for a chemical blood test.
Police said DUI charges will be filed at Magisterial District Judge Christina Hale's office, Frackville, pending results of the test.

AUBURN - A Myerstown man faces charges of driving under the influence after being stopped by state police Sunday.
State police at Schuylkill Haven said Steven Leid, 46, driving a 1995 Jeep Wrangler, was traveling west on Route 895 about a quarter mile west of Woodland Drive in South Manheim Township near the township municipal building when police noticed an equipment violation.
Police said Leid was suspected of being under the influence of alcohol and consented to a field sobriety test. Following the test, he was arrested and transported to Schuylkill Medical Center-South Jackson Street for a blood test to determine his blood alcohol content.
Charges will be filed at Magisterial District Judge James R. Ferrier's office, Orwigsburg, pending results of the test.
