Police seek fugitive wanted on drug charges

Schuylkill County District Attorney Christine Holman and county Detective Dennis Clark are asking for the public’s help in finding a man wanted on outstanding bench warrants.

Police said Jose Anton Diaz-Vasquez is wanted on two warrants for failing to appear in Schuylkill County Court on one felony count of possession with intent to manufacture or deliver a controlled substance, two misdemeanor counts each of possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia and one misdemeanor count of possession of marijuana.

Diaz-Vasquez, 40, is described as being a white/Hispanic man, about 5 feet 9 inches tall and about 200 pounds. His last known address was 1210 E. Centre St. in Mahanoy City, police said.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of this man or on any other fugitive in Schuylkill County is asked to call the district attorney’s office at 570-628-1350.

Anyone who may see or come in contact with Diaz-Vazquez is asked to call the Schuylkill County Communications Center or their police department immediately.

Callers are asked to refer to incident 07-27-14 when calling with information on the whereabouts of Diaz-Vazquez.
