In recent Schuylkill County Court action, Judge Jacqueline L. Russell accepted guilty pleas from, and, pursuant to agreements between prosecutors and defendants, imposed the indicated sentences on, these people:
Jeffrey M. Dargis, 41, of Shenandoah - three counts of conspiracy and one each of burglary, criminal trespass, theft and retail theft; 18 months to five years in a state correctional institution, $250 in payments to the Criminal Justice Enhancement Account, $26,979.94 restitution, 140 hours community service and submission of a DNA sample to law enforcement authorities. Prosecutors withdrew three counts of receiving stolen property and one additional count each of theft and burglary.
Joseph M. Kline, 19, of Shenandoah - two counts of corruption of minors and one each of possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a small amount of marijuana, theft and criminal mischief; 35 months probation, $50 fine, $100 payment to the Substance Abuse Education Fund, $100 in CJEA payments, $579.99 restitution, 60 hours community service and no contact with victim. Prosecutors withdrew two additional counts of possession of a small amount of marijuana and one count each of criminal trespass, conspiracy, receiving stolen property, loitering and prowling at nighttime and purchase, consumption, possession or transportation of liquor.
Robert McFarland, 42, of Pottsville - two counts of retail theft; 11 1/2 to 23 months in prison, $100 in CJEA payments, $1,919.40 restitution, 40 hours community service and submission of a DNA sample to law enforcement authorities. Prosecutors withdrew two counts of receiving stolen property and one of conspiracy.
Anthony Powell, 43, of Mc-Adoo - harassment; $300 fine. Prosecutors withdrew charges of simple assault and disorderly conduct.
Patrick R. Shay, 31, of Pottsville - possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance and prohibited possession of offensive weapon; five to 23 months in prison, $100 SAEF payment, $50 CJEA payment, $113 restitution to the state police crime laboratory in Bethlehem, 40 hours community service and submission of a DNA sample to law enforcement authorities. Prosecutors withdrew charges of possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
All defendants who were sentenced must pay cash as a part of their sentences.
