n Shenandoah: The William Penn Fire Company is holding an unbaked pizza sale. n Tamaqua: Leiby's Farm Market in the Lewistown Valley was named 2013 Schuylkill Conservation District Farm of the Year. The recognition fetes a farm that observes best practices in areas such as pest management, no-till farming and other techniques. Leiby's is a 100-acre fourth-generation farm owned and operated by Robert, Eric, Barbara and Elizabeth Leiby, who grow a wide variety of fruits and vegetables for their retail farm market. According to the Schuylkill Conservation District, 80 of the Leiby Farm's 100 acres have been placed under an agricultural easement through the Schuylkill County Agricultural Land Preservation Program and can never be sold for development.
n Tamaqua: An American Red Cross Bloodmobile will be held in Tamaqua from 1 to 6 p.m. Friday at St. John United Church of Christ, Pine Street.
